2026 Kia Sportage vs The Competition in West Palm Beach, FL
Previous generations of the 2026 Kia Sportage have all proven themselves to be a widely-popular model for the brand, sometimes edging out competition from the likes of other major automotive manufacturers such as Nissan, Toyota, and Hyundai. How does the 2026 model year of this superb compact SUV fair against these rivals? We of Greenway Kia West Palm Beach have answers for you, and they’re found down below!
2025 Toyota RAV4
Beginning with an entry whose previous iterations have roamed the streets of West Palm Beach for ages is none other than the 2025 Toyota RAV4. While it’s certainly capable of pulling a small motorcycle or jet ski with its 1,500-lb. maximum towing capacity1, the Kia Sportage’s 2,500-lb. maximum towing ability2 allows for heavier items such as a pop-up camper or a compact utility trailer to be pulled through West Palm Beach. Workers who have long commutes ahead of them will be pleased with Kia’s model earning 25/33/28 MPG city/hwy/combined2 in EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings. The RAV4 is also suited for daily driving to the office with its 27/35/30 MPG city/hwy/combined3 in estimated fuel economy statistics. If you’ll be using your SUV for carpooling purposes, those in the back of the Sportage will be comfier thanks to 41 inches of 2nd-row legroom. The RAV4 is slightly more cramped, coming in at 37.8 inches of rear legroom.
2026 Nissan Rogue
Our hats are off to both the 2026 Kia Sportage and the 2026 Nissan Rogue, as both models are offered in some seriously striking exterior paint options. Kia’s SUV, however, sports a generous seven monochromatic hues and up to four two-tone variations. You’ll have a bit less options if you shop for a Nissan Rogue, where you’ll only get six solid shades and four two-tone colorations. That’s not the only area where the Sportage is a bit more charitable, as you’ll find a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen4 on the dashboard. You’ll have better viewing angles and see text displayed larger on it rather than the Rogue’s standard 8-inch display5, where you may have to crane your neck a bit to make out the route to Palmetto Trailhead Park. Tracks you play through the infotainment system will sound more resonant on the Sportage’s standard 6-speaker system, which outdoes the Rogue’s standard 4-speaker arrangement.
2026 Hyundai TUCSON
The Kia Sportage and 2026 Hyundai TUCSON share nearly identical powertrains, with each model containing a standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Only does the former model make you feel like you’re driving an exceptionally sporty vehicle with its optional stainless steel foot pedals, which are not found on the TUCSON. You’ll also have to pay more of a premium for a leather-wrapped steering wheel in Hyundai’s car, as this lush feature isn’t available until you spring for at least the SEL Premium trim. Luckily, it’s a standard nicety on the Sportage Both vehicles do offer it with an optional heated function6 on higher trims, which will keep your hands warm on chillier Florida nights. It’s safe to say that if you value comfort, infotainment amenities, and color options, the 2026 Kia Sportage is what you should purchase with the guidance of our sales team!
